Social Networking , You either love it or loathe it . Depending on the site , I have to say in general I quite enjoy it .

Nowadays Social networking is the way to go , with texting and letter writing , meeting groups are a thing of the past , sure there are still some around but come on face it , in reality they too are going to slowly disappear into an unknown dimension.

A Few of my favourites depending on age basis were when i was younger and social networkings were just starting up in the heydays of the early to mid 2000's was the good ol MySpace , come on everyone had one . It was the thing to be discovered specially if you were trying to be the next Lady Gaga or think bigger the Next Michael Jackson , you could post videos of you singing LALALALALA or even Mary had a Little lamb.

Then next came Bebo , that was another big hit and still quite popular , if you dont believe me check out our wicked az library bebo www.bebo.com/TaurangaC , its the new kewl thing for libraries , their all doing it now.

Then in recent times , out popped Facebook , the number one site everyone has , you can search fro oldfriends , rellies , family and catch up with absolutley anyone. But what I find really sad about Facebook is the story behind it , it was set up by two mates who became billionaires and now they dont even talk come on , even social networking shouldnt be able to break friendships , thats however brings me to the downside of social networking , The big issue of cyber-bullying , forget bullying face to face thats not "Kewl" anymore , cyber bullying is the new thing , you can post almost anything on the social network sites and not all of them are wise enough to put abuse blockers .

But I do have to say the worse social networking site , I came across was Twitter , god it sounds like a bird tweet tweet, It is the most boring thing in the world , and the only way one could really throughly enjoy it , is if they sat in front of the computer for hours on end casually updating their status every minute ,

I can imagine it Im eating a sandwich , It is a ham sandwich , Im thirsty , im watching tv on the computer. Hello , Like we really are interested in your day-to-day routines.

However , beside my rant overall Social networking can be great you just have to remember to look out for the dangers .I for one belong to Myspace , bebo and facebook and unfortunately Twitter LOL.
